As the financial year 2024 comes to an end, several car manufacturers in India are planning to increase the prices of their famous models and variants. Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car manufacturer, known for its reliable and affordable car range announced last month that it is all set to raise the prices of its select cars from April 2025. Now, as per reports circulating online, Maruti’s price hike will be effective from the 8th of April, 2025.

Maruti Suzuki has announced that the price hike is being implemented due to rising operational expenses, regulatory changes, input costs, and the addition of new features. Buyers planning to purchase their dream Maruti car are advised to hurry up before the brand’s price revision hits next week.

Maruti Suzuki Car Price Hike Details

Maruti Suzuki is set to increase the prices of several models, including the Grand Vitara, Eeco, Ertiga, XL6, Wagon R, and Fronx. Beginning with the popular Maruti Grand Vitara, which rivals the Hyundai Creta in the Indian market, is all set to witness a price increment of up to INR 62,000.

The Grand Vitara price in India currently ranges between INR 11.19 lakh and INR 20 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco, which is currently priced at INR 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom), has now become premium up to INR 22,500.

Next in line are the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Ertiga, Fronx, and XL6, which will now become expensive by INR 14,000, INR 12,500, INR 2,500, and INR 12,500, respectively. The company did not announce new prices for its other models. However, Maruti is expected to increase the prices by up to 4 percent.

Aside from Maruti Suzuki, other car manufacturers like Hyundai, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Kia, Renault, and Nissan are also planning to increase the prices of their car models.
